Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer (Light) Review

Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer is a creamy liquid concealer with a smooth satin finish.  The concealer blends easily and provides moderate coverage for dark circles and blemishes.  The concealer brightens the eye area and stays on without creasing or caking.  Light is a fair-to-light shade with yellow undertones.  

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (Light) Review

Fit Me Concealer is a lightweight liquid concealer with a brightening matte finish.  The concealer blends seamlessly into the eye area and offers sheer to medium coverage for dark circles.  The formula has good staying power, but it can emphasize dryness.  Light is a neutral light shade with a hint of peach. 

Maybelline Color Sensational Color Whisper Lipcolor (Bold to Be Bare) Review

Bold to Be Bare is a sheer nude beige lipstick with pink undertones.  
The lipstick has a subtle glossy finish that keeps the shade from looking too pasty.  The lightweight gel formula goes on smoothly but fades quickly from the lips.  The lipstick adds a touch of moisture without a heavy lip balm feel.  This product has a soft sweet scent.

Maybelline Volum’ Express One by One Mascara (Brownish Black) Review

Volum’ Express Mascara leaves the lashes with great length, natural-looking volume, and a soft feel.  The applicator brush features rows of short rubber bristles that neatly separate the lashes and remove clumps during application.  The formula does not smudge or flake, but it has a strange chemical odor.  The brownish black shade imparts a soft black color.

Maybelline Cool Effect Cooling Shadow/Liner (Chill the Champagne 27) Review

Chill the Champagne is a shimmery warm beige shadow/liner pencil.  The shade goes on sheer and brightens the eyes with a subtle sheen.  The pencil is soft but it tugs at the eyelid a bit during application.  The formula has good staying power and does not crease or smudge.  There is a slight cooling sensation when you apply the shadow.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector Review

Double Face Perfector is a dual-ended wand with a concealer on one end and a highlighter on the other.  The concealer is lightweight and offers sheer to medium coverage for under-eye circles.  The formula spreads easily and does not settle into fine lines.  The highlighter subtly illuminates the eye area and can be worn alone or with concealer.  The highlighting liquid blends easily on the skin; however, it’s a bit runny and seeps out of the container.  This concealer/highlighter duo works best on the eye area but can be used all over the face.  The shade options depicted on the wand are very close to the actual shades. 

Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara Review

The Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara has a large, thick brush with a slightly tapered tip.  The brush helps to lengthen and separate the lashes with little clumping.  The mascara creates natural-looking volume and good definition.  The formula feels slightly wet going on but it dries quickly.  The mascara stays put all day with minimal flaking.  This product has a strange but tolerable scent.  The mascara is available in two shades of black. 

Maybelline Volume XL Seduction Lip Plumper (Born With It) Review

Volume XL Seduction Lip Plumper is a creamy, non-sticky lip gloss with good staying power.  The lip gloss is housed in a sleek, shiny plastic tube with a slanted dispenser/applicator tip.  The formula causes a tolerable tingling/swelling sensation; just don’t expect visibly fuller lips.  Born With It is a glossy, sheer pink shade with a fruity scent.

Maybelline Define-A-Lash Washable Lengthening Mascara Review

This product features a unique brush design and sleek, functional packaging.  The brush is curved, flexible and comprised of short rubber bristles.  The curve of the brush hugs the eyelashes and allows for an even application of the mascara.  The flexibility of the brush enables a lighter touch but I prefer a firm, steady brush.  The mascara tube has a build-in wiper to dispense the ideal amount of formula onto the brush.  The mascara lengthens and defines the lashes without clumps or flaking; however, it does not create a lot of volume. 

Maybelline Line Stylist (Espresso) Review

Line Stylist never needs sharpening.  This mechanical eyeliner pencil has a thin tip for precise application and control.  The pencil is a bit hard and causes some pulling and dragging along the lash line.  Once applied, the liner stays put with minimal smudging.  Espresso is a rich, dark brown shade that accentuates the eyes without looking too harsh.

Maybelline Cover Stick Corrector Concealer Review

Cover Stick is great for concealing blemishes and small imperfections.  The formula is thick, opaque and offers good coverage and staying power.  The product may be applied with fingertips or a small brush for more precision.  For extra staying power, the concealer can be set with face powder.  The product is available in six skin shades and three color correctors. 

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder Review

This is a nice surprise from a drugstore brand.  The powder is finely milled, oil-free, and it comes in a nice range of colors.  I apply this product with a large powder brush for a smooth, weightless coverage without any chalkiness.  Packaging needs improvement.
