Hanae Mori Butterfly Eau de Toilette Review

Butterfly is a fruity-gourmand scent.  The opening features a cloying blend of strawberries and vanilla with a touch of jasmine in the undertones.  Once the opening notes mellow a bit, the composition reveals a subtle floral accord of rose and ylang-ylang.  Regrettably, the floral notes are quickly overwhelmed by a sugary mix of vanilla and berries.  Eventually, the fragrance becomes more wearable as it fades to a smooth base of powdery vanilla and creamy almond.  Notes include: Strawberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Red Currant, Rose, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Vanilla, Praline, Patchouli, Sandalwood.

Hanae Mori N° 01 Eau de Toilette Review

Hanae Mori N° 01 is a gourmand fruity-floral scent.  The opening reveals a medley of raspberries, black currant and blackberries with creamy vanilla-caramel undertones.  Notes of pink grapefruit and bergamot keep the fragrance from becoming too sweet.  Later in the composition, the berries are complemented by a subtle touch of jasmine.  As the fruit notes slowly fade, the vanilla-caramel accord intensifies and becomes the base of the fragrance with whispers of amber, woods and musk in the backdrop.  Notes include: Bergamot, Black Currant, Grapefruit, Mulberry Leaf, Blackberry, Jasmine, Raspberry, White Musk, Indian Sandalwood, Amber, Vanilla.
