L’Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base Review

Magic Perfecting Base is a thick cream-mousse primer with a pink tint.  The primer is silicone-based and leaves a velvety matte finish on the skin.  The formula helps to control oil, minimizes pores and smoothes the skin.  I did not try the primer under foundation, but when worn under concealer the primer extends its wear.  This product is fragrance-free. 

L’Oreal True Match Blush (Bare Honey W1-2) Review

True Match Blush in Bare Honey is a soft, finely milled powder with a sheer golden shimmer.  The powder is nicely pigmented and deposits color evenly onto the cheeks.  The shimmer finish is barely noticeable and creates a subtle glow.  Bare Honey is a peachy tan shade that can double as a warm bronzer.  The blush compact has a separate compartment that holds a small applicator blush.

Neutrogena Nourishing Eyeliner (Brown Sugar) Review

Nourishing Eyeliner is a rectractable eye pencil that goes on easily and stays put without smearing.  The eyeliner is firm enough to draw a precise line that can be smudged for a softer look.  Inserted into the bottom of the pencil applicator is a sharpener/smudger attachment.  Brown Sugar is a medium bronze shade with a hint of shimmer.  The shimmer is subtle and appropriate for daytime wear. 

A Scent by Issey Miyake Eau de Toilette Review

A Scent by Issey Miyake is a green floral fragrance.  The opening features crisp greens, fresh citrus and a hint of woods.  The greens soften and blend with sparkling hyacinth and tender jasmine in the middle accord.  The citrus notes linger quietly in the background.  The fragrance dries down to a fresh, slightly soapy musk base with a whisper of moss.  Notes include: Lemon Verbena, Galbanum, Hyacinth, Jasmine, Musk, Crystal Moss.

Peter Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion PM Review

Retinol Fusion PM looks like water but feels like an ultra-light oil.  The serum absorbs easily and without greasy residue, leaving the skin soft and moisturized.  The formula is a blend of lightweight silicone fluid, nourishing squalane, 1.5% microencapsulated retinol, vitamin C and vitamin E.  The retinol in this formulation is very gentle and can be used around the delicate eye area.  This product enhances the complexion and softens fine lines but the changes are subtle.  The serum is fragrance-free.
